Quality African Mahogany

African Mahogany ( Khaya Senegalensis) is a high quality hardwood timber that lends itself to the finest cabinet making, furniture, and musical instruments – and also to boats and outdoor decking because of its resistance to wood-rot.

African Mahogany (Khaya Senegalensis) is considered commercially extinct in many countries where it occurs naturally and is regarded as an endangered species in the wild. Tropical North Queensland's climatic and soil conditions are ideal for growing African Mahogany as a plantation timber with significant future potential.

MahoganyNQ is the brand and online website of Mahogany Processors Co-Operative Limited – a group of North Queensland and Australian African Mahogany ( Khaya Senegalensis) as part of a project sponsored by the Australian Federal Government’s Farming Together Program www.farmingtogether.com.au.
